Today’s community of Klöch looks back on an eventful history. A knighthood full of joie de vivre once occupied the towering castle of "Klech". Wine and provisions for delicious gluttony were taken from the surrounding farmers and festivals were celebrated to one’s heart desire. Over one hundred years ago, it was discovered that the good air of Klöch is beneficial for the body, mind and spirit. Cold water cures fed by the Klausenbach brook brought outstanding healing results. This "natural health resort" was closed when World War I broke out. Today the "Kurhaus" still stands in an outdoor dining area in the midst of Klöch. The "Kursalon" is now a residential house.
Winegrowers and visitors to the region look forward all year to the traditional Pressfest wine festival in Klöch.
