Summer in the Bad Radkersburg region
A summer for all the senses in southern Styria
Swimming, biking, gallivanting, sauntering through the old town and just plain enjoying yourself – the Bad Radkersburg region radiates vitality during the summer! Lying in the sun on a meadow and unwinding, splashing in the sports pool of the Bad Radkersburg Parktherme spa or riding a bicycle along the Mur river? You can do all that and much more in the region with numerous enticing recreational offers for your summer holiday.
Nature lovers and sports enthusiasts will find varied themed tours on the hiking and biking trails through vineyards and the Mur river floodplains. Or you can play a round of golf on the 18-hole course at GC Traminergolf in Klöch.
No need to worry about the kids getting bored: A fast-paced puzzle rally by bicycle for the whole family around Bad Radkersburg keeps the children fit while learning something about the region. Suspenseful puzzles are waiting to be solved. Kids Coach Katharina awaits children at the Parktherme spa with the “totally cool” action-packed holiday programme.
Feeling a love of life
Culinary delights are part of summer – at “Gemma Strawanz’n” in Halbenrain with its delicacies and in the region’s wine taverns and public houses.
Swinging music resounds every Friday in the Bad Radkersburg old town during “Flanieren & Radieren”. There is plenty to see during the cultural summer at the Klöch castle ruin with its theatre presentations. Local artistic talent is also promoted when the “Hortus Niger” summer academy in Halbenrain puts out its invitation to give creative ideas free rein.
Relaxation, activity – doing sport? Water in all sorts of versions beckons at the Bad Radkersburg Parktherme spa, Austria’s 2016 thermal spring of the year: The 50-metre sports pool at 25 degrees is ideal for exercise enthusiasts with sporting ambitions, while you can relax to your heart’s content in the languorously warm thermal water at 34° – 36°C. The special thermal water in Bad Radkersburg comes to the earth’s surface from a depth of 2000 metres – at 80 degrees and under its own power.
New and unique throughout Austria, a fitness trainer offers the free training programme “Fascia Fitness in Thermal Water”. It gently strengthens connective tissue and relieves tension. Admission to the Parktherme spa for children varies according to the season. During the summer holidays, the daily admission for children up to 15.9 years is EUR 5.20.
